Brocard is a synonym in the perfume world – for the great artistry and entrepreneur-ship of a famous Parisian perfumer moving to Russia and inventing legendary new scents – and with them influencing a whole generation.

Henri Brocard, born 1830 in Paris traveled in his early years to Russia to firstly work in a soap factory but soon founded his own business in Moscow as of 1864. Only 5 years later he entered the perfume fabrication and gained success not only with a good feeling for the right scent but also with famous installation in the context of art exhibitions and his own ambitions as an art collector.

He soon became purveyor to the most important houses of that century: the Czar, Spanish King and Duchess of Edinburgh. When dying in 1900 he did not only receive a Golden Medal at the Word Exhibition in Paris the same year but also increased the turnover to 25 million Rubels and nonetheless was standing for impressive human working conditions.

Since 1995 the tradition of Henri Brocard is globally continued by David Tetruachvili.

Starting in the emerging market of Ukraine and as of 1996 also in Russia, Brocard was performing well as a wholesale trading company for perfume and cosmetics with own retail outlets starting 10 years ago.
